2001 - Present RSI Materials Engineering Dave manages projects that involve failure analysis, experimental design, materials selection and design, material properties testing, data acquisition and analysis, and non-destructive testing. He also serves on the Union Pacific Derailment Go-Team and helps investigate derailments. He is an accomplished machinist and designer of mechanical hardware. 1991 - 2001 Union Pacific Railroad Manager - Metallurgy Dave worked on wheel, rail, axle and tool failures. He also participated in over-the-road dynamic testing of vehicle components. Dave designed and built an innovative locomotive traction motor trolley to enable locomotives with failed motors to reach a set-off point. Dave has been active with the testing of the ECP brake system, as well as, designing and building custom machines. EDUCATION: M.S.
